DEFEND The Castle Battersea...
If you haven't already heard, we are sorry to inform you that Languard Investments Ltd, the development company which owns the land the pub is on, has submitted their planning application to Wandsworth council. This application states the intention of the developers to completely teardown/demolish The Castle and replace it with an apartment block.
We have just been informed that Languard Investments who own The Castle has served Cate & Aaron a 3 months notice to vacate The Castle Battersea..
This is because Cate & Aaron have been helping the Campaign to Defend the Castle. Does this seem right to you or do you think they should be able to CLOSE The Castle Battersea and board it up... Now there is a real fight to Save The Castle
RESCHEDULED DATE IS Wednesday 23rd May Get your OBJECTIONS into DEFEND The Castle now.....
You have up to 23rd May to get your written objections in to the Council Wandsworth Council will officially accept comments and objections up to 23rd May. If you care about your “local” then please help us by submitting a comment online, or writing to the council direct.
News from Wandsworth Planning's Julia Kelly is that the Planning Committee Meeting will now be held on Wednesday 23rd May at 7:30pm in Wandsworth Town Hall. This is when the offical decision will be made as to whether the planning application submitted by Languard's will accecpted or refused. We need all the people we can to come with us to the meeting and show their support. We will be putting on a bus from the pub to Wandsworth Town Hall, so if you would like a ride, please let the bar staff know asap as places on the bus are limited.
THE CLOCK IS TICKING........you have till 23rd May to get your written objections in to the Council....

We are sorry to inform everyone but The Castle Battersea will be CLOSING it's doors to the public on Saturday 19th May 2012. As we have all seen and heard that Cate & Aaron have been given a 3 month Eviction letter to end their tenancy early on 22nd May 2012 by
It will then be boarded up and left to decay, we don't feel thats right do you?, So please get your objection letters in by the new rescheduled date of Wednesday 23rd May..

We are holding DEFEND THE CASTLE meetings here at the pub every TUESDAY at 7:30pm. If you could come along to find out whats going on and show your support it would be much appreciated, HELPERS REQUIRED, we are now needing leaflets delivered, awareness raised & info handed out.

MP for Leeds and Chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Save The Pub Group, GREG MULHOLLAND has dropped in to show his support of the Save the Castle Battersea Campaign
We had an amazing chat with and listen to what Greg has to say about The Castle Battersea. He was very disturbed at the fact that a developer wants to demolish, such an amazing asset to the community. We thank Greg for his support and look forward to 23rd of May.
